Licensed Music Therapist - Rosenberg, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• National Certification in Music Therapy required
• Strong understanding of assessment protocols and providing services aligned with students’ IEPs
• Familiarity with strategies for working with students with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities
• Experience consulting with educational staff and families
• Knowledge of procedures, strategies, and equipment used in music therapy
• Candidates must complete required district fingerprinting (or already have district prints on file)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group music therapy sessions within the campus setting
• Develop service schedules ensuring IEP compliance and campus expectations
• Assess students and determine eligibility for music therapy services
• Support the ARD Committee in interpreting assessment data and setting appropriate IEP goals
• Consult with staff, administrators, and parents to enhance music therapy program understanding and effectiveness
• Participate in staff development and provide training
• Maintain a learning environment appropriate to developmental levels and student needs
• Document services and student progress, maintaining required records and reports
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and suggest improvements
• Complete administrative tasks and comply with all school policies and procedures
• Attend professional development to enhance job-related skills
