Make a difference by fostering creativity and emotional growth in students through music therapy. This contract opportunity focuses on providing specialized support to children within a supportive educational setting. The assignment runs from late July through the end of May, offering a chance to help students thrive through engaging, individualized interventions.
In this role, you will work one day each week, supporting approximately seven students on a rotating basis (with 3-4 seen per day) every other week. The age group consists of school-aged children in need of therapeutic music services. The specific campuses and schedule will be determined prior to your start date.
Key Qualifications:
- Active National Certification as a Music Therapist required
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to develop and implement tailored music therapy plans
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to timely credentialing, including fingerprinting and a drug screen
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based music therapy sessions to students, supporting emotional, social, and academic growth
- Collaborate with educators and school teams to integrate therapy goals within the educational setting
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and sessions
- Communicate regularly with caregivers and staff regarding student needs and achievements
- Adhere to district policies and professional guidelines
