Make a difference by fostering creativity and emotional growth in students through music therapy. This contract opportunity focuses on providing specialized support to children within a supportive educational setting. The assignment runs from late July through the end of May, offering a chance to help students thrive through engaging, individualized interventions.

In this role, you will work one day each week, supporting approximately seven students on a rotating basis (with 3-4 seen per day) every other week. The age group consists of school-aged children in need of therapeutic music services. The specific campuses and schedule will be determined prior to your start date.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active National Certification as a Music Therapist required
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement tailored music therapy plans
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Commitment to timely credentialing, including fingerprinting and a drug screen

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based music therapy sessions to students, supporting emotional, social, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with educators and school teams to integrate therapy goals within the educational setting
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and sessions
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers and staff regarding student needs and achievements
  • Adhere to district policies and professional guidelines
