What You’ll Bring:

  • Current Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) credential
  • Experience in school settings preferred, though strong consultative and collaboration skills take center stage
  • Exceptional communication for effective monthly consultations and recommendations
  • Commitment to fostering safe, accessible opportunities for students with visual impairments

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver indirect/consultative services—no direct instruction required
  • Support a manageable caseload of 8 students, ensuring approximately one monthly consult per student
  • Communicate findings and actionable strategies to educational staff and families
  • Participate in virtual or in-person meetings as needed to drive student progress
  • Align recommendations with individual IEP goals and best practices in orientation and mobility
