What you'll bring:

• Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist credentials (OMS)
• Experience teaching or providing support as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Proficiency in both direct instruction and consultative services
• Thorough knowledge of assessment tools, such as Functional Vision Evaluations (FVE), Learning Media Assessments (LMA), and O&M assessments
• Strong communication skills for consultation with staff and participation in ARD meetings
• Excellent organizational habits for material preparation and documentation

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering direct instructional hours to students needing orientation and mobility training
• Providing indirect support through collaboration and consultation with educators and staff
• Conducting evaluations and assessments related to visual impairment, and recommending appropriate strategies
• Attending and contributing to ARD meetings to develop and review individualized student plans
• Preparing and adapting materials to support students' needs
