As an essential partner in the education process, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers and staff, impacting students’ daily lives as they navigate their learning environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist license required
  • Experience working in school settings or with K-12 students preferred
  • Comfortable traveling between multiple district sites within Greene County and Washington County
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage documentation and schedules across sites
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in dynamic situations

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct orientation and mobility instruction for K-12 students to promote independence and safe travel skills
  • Assess student abilities and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and goals
  • Collaborate with educational teams and families to support student progress
  • Travel between schools to deliver services across multiple districts
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute O&M expertise
  • Offer recommendations for adaptive equipment and environment modifications as needed
