You'll work with one student who requires Orientation and Mobility (O&M) services for the new school year, collaborating closely with a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) already supporting the student on a daily basis.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
• Experience delivering O&M instruction to students in school settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to individualized, student-centered support

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide O&M services for one student for 30 minutes per week
• Conduct assessments and develop tailored O&M goals and lesson plans
• Coordinate closely with the student’s TVI to ensure consistency and quality of support
• Document student progress and keep educational teams and families informed
• Utilize adaptive equipment and mobility aids as required
• Support transitions and foster the student’s confidence in various school and community environments
