Put your Orientation and Mobility (O&M) expertise to work in a dynamic school environment, where your skills truly make a difference. This assignment offers the opportunity to provide essential compensatory services and direct O&M therapy to students in grades K-8. Step into a supportive role, working with a manageable caseload across 2-3 schools in the vibrant Oviedo and Sanford areas.

You’ll focus on hands-on services for 12 students, ensuring they receive the guidance and support needed to navigate their environments confidently. Occasional evaluations may be part of your schedule, but your primary task is direct student interaction and therapy.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid National O&M licensure is required
  • Vision certification is essential for this position
  • Experience supporting K-8 populations preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Social Security card and physical professional license (original, not online copy) required for credentialing
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive onboarding: fingerprinting (Form 1403 and Field Print receipt), demographic form, and I-9 paperwork

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compensatory and direct O&M services primarily to K-8 students
  • Travel between 2-3 assigned schools within the Lake Howell area as needed
  • Maintain student records and support documentation following district policies
  • Perform evaluations and create individualized student plans as required
