Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist, working with K-12 students to deliver essential compensatory services and evaluations. This is a travel-friendly, on-site role located near Orlando, FL, serving school campuses in the Oviedo and Sanford areas. The contract runs from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll collaborate closely with education teams and focus primarily on direct therapy, making a significant impact on the educational journeys of students with visual impairments.

Your expertise will help students gain increased independence and confidence as you provide tailored instruction based on individual needs. Interviews are scheduled for April 27, 2026, so prompt applications are encouraged.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • National Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Licensure required
  • Current Vision Certification
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-12
  • Valid driver’s license and social security card
  • Completion of Form 1403 Fingerprinting, I9 sections 1 and 2, and other onboarding documentation
  • Must be comfortable providing both compensatory O&M services and evaluations as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct mobility training and instruction for K-12 students
  • Complete evaluations and document progress according to district standards
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student outcomes
  • Maintain detailed records in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Travel between assigned campuses as needed
