Position Details
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Contract Length: Full 2026–2027 School Year

Caseload: Infants through Elementary School students
- (A separate O&M Specialist serves grades 6–12.)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct Orientation & Mobility instruction to students

Deliver indirect services, including:
- Staff and teacher consultation
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Instructional material preparation and adaptation

Conduct evaluations, including:
- Functional Vision Evaluations (FVE)
- Learning Media Assessments (LMA)
- Orientation & Mobility Assessments
- Attend ARD meetings and collaborate with families and school staff
- Travel between district campuses as needed (travel time may be billable based on district guidelines)
Qualifications
- Active Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) credential
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between school sites within the district
