Qualifications and Skills:

• Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) and/or licensed Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Experience with functional vision evaluations (FVE), learning media assessments (LMA), and comprehensive O&M assessments
• Strong ability to deliver instructional hours to students with visual impairments
• Effective communicator for consultation with staff, collaboration, and contributing to ARD meetings
• Skilled in preparing adaptive materials and supporting staff development
• Organizational aptitude for managing direct service and consultation schedules

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide O&M instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Consult regularly with educational teams and participate actively in ARD meetings
• Conduct evaluations, including FVE, LMA, and O&M assessments
• Support staff with resources and training to better serve visually impaired students
• Document progress and adapt instruction for optimal student outcomes
