Provide essential support to students by serving as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist. Key Qualifications:

• Licensed or certified as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS).
• Experience providing services to school-aged children or adolescents preferred.
• Skilled in creating tailored mobility and orientation instruction plans.

Role Responsibilities:

• Teach students techniques for safe travel, including proper cane use, spatial orientation, and route planning.
• Collaborate with teachers, educational aides, and other related service providers to integrate mobility training into students’ educational goals.
• Offer training and resources to staff and families to support ongoing student development.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of student progress and contribute to IEP or 504 plan meetings.
