Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
- Certification through the New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) as a Mobility Trainer for the Blind

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction based on individual needs and learning styles
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ orientation and mobility needs
- Develop and implement individualized instruction programs
- Teach students techniques and skills to safely navigate various indoor and outdoor environments
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Document student progress and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
