Occupational Therapist School Setting in Accomac, VA

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current OT state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience working in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Current knowledge of best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
• Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
• Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and other related service providers
• Assist with classroom modifications, adaptive equipment recommendations, and sensory strategies
• Document services, evaluations, and progress notes in compliance with school and regulatory standards
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input for student success
• Stay current with evidence-based practices and maintain professional development
