Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to the diverse needs of students
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting children with varying abilities
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions to address fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to monitor progress and update goals
- Maintain accurate student documentation in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a collaborative learning environment
- Provide consultative support and recommendations to staff and families
