Occupational Therapist School Setting in Acton, CA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and current Occupational Therapist license in the state
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and school teams
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse developmental and educational needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students identified with disabilities or those requiring extra support
• Develop customized treatment plans focused on improving students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence in the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing student goals and progress reports
• Conduct screenings, assessments, and re-evaluations as necessary
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Partner with educators and families to recommend classroom modifications and home strategies to facilitate student progress
