Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based contract opportunity serving students in the Adrian, Michigan area. This position is covering two employee leaves and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and developmental success.
The assignment is anticipated to run from August 17, 2026, through January 2027, with one leave ending in October and the second continuing through the conclusion of Christmas break. The OT will primarily serve students in Tecumseh, with a potential additional assignment in Sand Creek that is currently being finalized.
This is a full-time opportunity with an estimated caseload of approximately 45 students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and special education staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-help, and functional skills necessary for academic success
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
Qualifications Required:
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist License
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Previous school-based occupational therapy experience
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Knowledge of sensory integration and adaptive equipment
- Pediatric experience
