An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide full-time contract services in a supportive educational environment near Albemarle, NC. This role allows you to work closely with students in elementary, middle, and high school settings, making a real impact on their academic and personal development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for practice in North Carolina
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience supporting students within elementary, middle, and high school populations preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to students' needs
  • Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy into classroom activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school guidelines
  • Communicate progress and recommendations with teachers, families, and other professionals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting appropriate goals
  • Provide support and training to staff regarding occupational therapy interventions
