Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license (required)
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in school settings preferred
  • Comfortable working with elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Collaborative mindset to work alongside teachers, specialists, and families
  • Ability to assess student needs and develop effective intervention plans

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services in accordance with IEP goals
  • Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development
  • Educate staff and families about OT strategies and accommodations
  • Adapt therapeutic techniques to suit varied learning environments
