Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and familiarity with documentation requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
  • Develop individualized intervention plans in collaboration with the educational team
  • Deliver therapy sessions tailored to student abilities, focusing on improving functional skills necessary for school success
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to achieve desired outcomes
  • Maintain organized records in accordance with district and legal requirements
  • Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as needed
  • Communicate progress and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input on students’ occupational performance
