A part-time Occupational Therapist position is available for the 26/27 school year at a school in Algonac, MI. This contract role offers approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. across selected days.
The caseload includes about 25 students spread across three buildings:
- Early Education building: 5 students
- Kindergarten to 1st grade: 4 students
- Grades 2–6: 10 students
- High School: 1 student
Students primarily require support with fine motor skills and sensory needs. Sessions typically range from 15 to 30 minutes and occur 1 to 4 times per month per student.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct OT services to students
- Conducting assessments to determine student needs
- Completing report writing
- Attending Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
Candidates should have experience in school-based occupational therapy, specifically in addressing fine motor and sensory challenges within a pediatric population. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple buildings are important.
