Apply NowStep into a rewarding opportunity providing Occupational Therapy services for elementary and middle school students as part of a full-time, onsite contract role covering a FMLA leave from August 7, 2026, through October 15, 2026. Orientation starts August 3 and 4, ensuring you’re fully prepared when students begin. You’ll work collaboratively with a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering resource and self-contained OT services that positively impact students’ daily lives near Algonquin, IL.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially with elementary and middle school populations
- Comfortable providing therapy to diverse learners in both resource and self-contained classroom settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt to various educational needs and environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services onsite for grades K-8, per student IEPs
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, parents, and allied professionals
- Participate in monthly meetings and roundtable discussions for ongoing collaboration
- Utilize readily available materials and equipment to implement interventions
- Engage in annual performance reviews and process improvement initiatives
- Document services and progress in a timely and compliant manner
