An occupational therapist is sought for a K-12 school environment in Amherst, MA, for a contract position covering the entire school year. This role is ideal for an experienced professional skilled in providing therapeutic services within educational settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and support students with occupational therapy needs across K-12 grade levels
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve students’ functional abilities and participation in school activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions related to student support

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license relevant to the state

  • Knowledge of educational law and special education regulations beneficial
