Qualifications:

  • Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active occupational therapy license in the applicable state is required
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills for interactions with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to adapt interventions to individuals’ unique needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions and evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive educational environments
  • Document services, progress, and recommendations in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and effectively communicate findings and strategies
  • Provide consultative services and recommend adaptive equipment or strategies as needed
