Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience as a school-based OT preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and individualized strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility, creativity, and compassion for supporting students with varied needs and abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ physical, developmental, or sensory needs impacting school performance
- Develop and carry out intervention plans aligned with student IEPs
- Provide direct and consultative OT services within classroom and therapy settings
- Collaborate with educators and families to integrate supports seamlessly into daily routines
- Maintain accurate documentation for evaluations, progress reports, and service delivery
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to interdisciplinary planning
