As the lead OT, your expertise will make a difference for school-aged children while you also mentor and supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Desired Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Prior experience delivering OT services in school settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable providing support to students across elementary and middle school age groups
- Demonstrated leadership or supervision experience, especially overseeing a COTA
- Strong collaborative skills and commitment to evidence-based practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, goal-setting, and evidence-based treatment interventions for students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement IEP goals in coordination with educators, families, and related service teams
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, providing guidance on caseload management and service delivery
- Document progress, maintain compliance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate actively with special education staff and participate in team meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy approaches across various school environments to engage students at different developmental stages
