Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience or strong interest in serving school-aged students
- Thorough understanding of assessment tools and individualized intervention strategies
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
- Flexibility, empathy, and creative problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ fine and gross motor skills to identify areas of need
- Plan, deliver, and document therapy sessions in alignment with students’ IEPs
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student progress and advocate for individual needs
- Provide recommendations, strategies, and adaptive equipment to enhance student participation at school
- Engage with families to support generalization of skills across school and home settings
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal standards
