Occupational Therapist School Setting in Anoka, MN

Make an immediate impact supporting students in a dynamic Setting IV special education environment beginning this fall. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding chance to contribute to students’ growth and progress while enjoying a consistent 20-hour workweek across five days. The role covers a leave of absence from September 21st to January 4th, with no work required during winter break and potential to extend.

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide occupational therapy support to learners who benefit from intensive special education services, helping them participate fully in school routines and activities.

What we’re looking for:

• Current or previous school-based Occupational Therapy background.
• Ability to work the school-specific assignment length and schedule: 20 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
• Reliable transportation to the assignment location.
• Willingness and ability to successfully complete both agency onboarding and a district-managed background check.
• Demonstrated good standing from prior placements, particularly if already credentialed.
• Commitment to fostering student independence, skill-building, and participation within comprehensive special education programming.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct OT services and consultative support for students receiving Setting IV services.
• Developing, implementing, and tracking progress on individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Working closely with special education teams, families, and allied professionals.
• Maintaining accurate documentation as required by the district.
• Flexibility to collaborate and adapt strategies for diverse student needs during the assignment period.
