Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Familiarity with IEP procedures and documentation
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with educators, students, and families
- Compassion, adaptability, and reliability
- Collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn
Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments to determine students’ needs for occupational therapy within the educational environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students’ academic access, self-care, and functional abilities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students’ goal-setting
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions
- Provide both direct therapy and consultative services to students and staff
- Educate and support teacher teams with resources and strategies for student success
- Adapt therapy approaches based on ongoing evaluation and feedback
