Occupational Therapist School Setting in Aptos, CA

Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year! Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Prior experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy plans
• Familiarity with IEP procedures and documentation
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with educators, students, and families
• Compassion, adaptability, and reliability
• Collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn

Responsibilities:

• Perform assessments to determine students’ needs for occupational therapy within the educational environment
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students’ academic access, self-care, and functional abilities
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students’ goal-setting
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions
• Provide both direct therapy and consultative services to students and staff
• Educate and support teacher teams with resources and strategies for student success
• Adapt therapy approaches based on ongoing evaluation and feedback
