Occupational Therapist School Setting in Arcadia, LA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting students in a dynamic educational setting. This part-time position (20-25 hours per week) extends through May 21, 2027, and involves providing essential OT services across four school sites. The assignment requires a professional ready to make a difference in the lives of students from elementary through high school.

Your expertise will be key in collaborating with school teams and supporting student access to learning. The schedule includes on-site service on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, along with PreK evaluations each Friday. Supervision of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is also part of the role. While the position is designed for on-site work, there may be temporary flexibility for virtual service provision until an on-site candidate is secured.

Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Louisiana (LA OT License)
• Experience working in school-based or pediatric OT settings preferred
• Comfortable providing services across multiple school locations
• Leadership skills including the willingness and ability to supervise a COTA
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to efficiently conduct evaluations, develop plans of care, and document services

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct OT services to PreK–12 students in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
• Perform evaluations and participate in eligibility meetings
• Supervise and support a COTA
• Provide PreK assessments on Fridays as assigned
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
