Occupational Therapist School Setting in Arcadia, LA

A unique opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist who excels in school-based services and is seeking a flexible, short-term remote role. This contract position will allow you to contribute your expertise virtually, supporting students across grade levels, facilitating important evaluations, and providing oversight for a COTA. Your experience will directly impact students’ learning and development in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Essential Qualifications:

• Active OT license in Louisiana (required)
• Previous experience with IEPs, school-based occupational therapy, and leading student evaluations
• Comfortable working virtually and managing remote sessions
• Competency in supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Availability to start as soon as possible for a short-term commitment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct re-evaluations across PreK–12 grade levels to inform and update student plans
• Perform comprehensive PreK evaluations on Fridays
• Allocate at least one day weekly for completing IEP paperwork and attending meetings virtually
• Supervise and mentor a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant throughout the contract period and potentially beyond, on a limited basis
• Collaborate with educators, families, and the support team to foster positive student outcomes
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all students served
