Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting near Arden, NC. As a valued allied health professional, you will play an essential role in fostering student success, collaborating with educators, and promoting independence in school and home environments. The position offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, running from ASAP through June 8, 2027.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
  • Previous work with school-aged children (PreK–12th grade) highly preferred
  • Background in school-based OT, home health OT, or healthcare OT settings
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and educational documentation practices

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ abilities and barriers using standardized assessments
  • Develop, carry out, and adjust individualized intervention plans to help students achieve educational goals
  • Provide direct therapy—in both individual and group settings—to address fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily classroom routines and the home environment
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and team discussions to advocate for student needs
