Qualifications & Skills:
- Current licensure to practice as an OT
- Experience working in schools, home health, healthcare, and/or teletherapy environments
- Ability to create individualized treatment plans and adapt strategies to meet each student’s needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Compassionate, collaborative, and flexible approach
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities, including fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans in partnership with educators and families
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in schools, students’ homes, or virtually as needed
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Advocate for students’ access to resources and modifications for optimal educational participation
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy
