This contract role begins August 12, 2026, and runs through November 3, 2026, providing the chance to positively impact young learners near the Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove area. With a manageable caseload of 25 students and set hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, your expertise and dedication will help children thrive throughout the fall semester.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous school-based OT experience, with a strong grasp of pediatric and developmental therapy
- Competency providing services to early intervention and elementary-aged students
- Solid understanding of IEPs, goal development, and effective communication with staff and families
- Flexibility, teamwork, and organizational skills to manage a caseload efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based occupational therapy sessions for students, balancing direct service and consultative support
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to integrate therapy goals into classroom and school environments
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt strategies and interventions to support student growth and promote independence in daily activities
