Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Occupational Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working as an OT in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when collaborating with students, staff, and families
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and goal setting for school-based therapy
  • Adaptability to varied caseloads across multiple grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans that foster academic and functional skill development
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to support participation in the school environment
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to translate therapy goals into classroom strategies
  • Document progress, prepare reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as a valued member of the student support team
  • Offer creative solutions and adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
