Make a meaningful contribution in an onsite, full-time contract opportunity for an Occupational Therapist supporting K-12 students in a school-based environment. Working with a diverse caseload of up to 60 students, you will provide direct services and collaborate with educators to enhance students’ functional skills and maximize their participation in school activities.

Your background in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy, and ability to adapt interventions to individual needs, will help you guide students toward greater independence and academic success. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license issued by the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
  • Previous experience in K-12 or related pediatric settings
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Flexible and solution-oriented approach to meeting diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students across varying grade levels
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and recommendations for accommodations and modifications
  • Educate staff and families regarding strategies to promote student independence and classroom participation
  • Maintain ongoing progress reports and communicate effectively with the school team
  • Manage a dynamic caseload based on service minutes and student needs
