This position offers an opportunity to provide Occupational Therapy services to K-12 students within a school setting. The role involves delivering targeted interventions to support school-aged children in their educational environment, focusing on enhancing their functional abilities and participation in school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Occupational Therapy services to K-12 students, addressing individual therapy goals.
- Deliver compensatory services as outlined in student individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Utilize various service delivery models including home health, teletherapy, and healthcare-related OT interventions when applicable.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy services.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children aged Pre-K through 12th grade.
- Familiarity with delivering compensatory services within a school calendar year.
- Skilled in adapting therapy approaches for home health and teletherapy settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Location: Arlington, VA
Duration: Contract position spanning the current school year, starting ASAP through the end of the academic year.
