School Occupational Therapist | Arlington, Virginia

A contract opportunity is available for an energetic and collaborative Occupational Therapist to serve school-aged children near Arlington, VA. This role will allow you to impact students' growth and independence while working closely with an interdisciplinary team in a supportive educational environment. This position provides the opportunity to plan and deliver engaging therapy services that foster students' academic and functional success.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT licensure in Virginia
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation and compliance
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a diverse caseload

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluate students’ motor skills and sensory processing abilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to support students’ academic participation
• Provide direct therapy in individual and small group sessions
• Maintain comprehensive progress and compliance documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a resource for classroom strategies and accommodations
