Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Open to itinerant travel between assigned schools
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Adaptability and resourcefulness when working with diverse student populations
- CPR certification recommended
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver a wide range of occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Travel between multiple school sites within the district as part of an itinerant assignment
- Assess students’ functional abilities related to performance in school environments
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and therapy notes
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Educate school staff on integration of therapeutic activities throughout the school day
