Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students across K-12 levels during the 2026-2027 school year as a full-time Occupational Therapist. This contract position offers the chance to make meaningful contributions throughout a district, working collaboratively with educators and families to empower young learners.

You’ll provide comprehensive OT services to a diverse caseload of 30-35 students, leveraging your expertise to foster student independence and participation in educational activities. Each week, you’ll enjoy a consistent, 35-hour schedule, allowing you to build strong connections with students and thoughtfully monitor their progress over the school year.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold an active New Mexico OT license
  • Possess or obtain an NPI and Medicaid provider number
  • Previous experience providing occupational therapy within a school setting is highly desirable
  • Demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience working with a broad K-12 population is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver OT assessments, treatments, and interventions for K-12 students district-wide, based on IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to create supportive plans and monitor progress
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, reporting, and billing as needed
  • Educate staff and caregivers on implementation of OT strategies to reinforce student growth
  • Advocate for student needs to ensure access and engagement within the school environment
