Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth as a licensed Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting near Arvada, CO. In this onsite position, you’ll enjoy a set schedule of 34 hours per week, working Tuesday through Friday. Your caseload is thoughtfully divided between serving elementary students for three days and high school students for one day each week. This structure allows you to develop meaningful relationships and provide continuity of care, while every Monday remains free for a great work-life balance.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Previous experience in school settings, preferably across elementary and high school populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to design, implement, and document individualized therapy interventions
- Flexible and adaptable to meet diverse student needs
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize assessment tools to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individual and group therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress records per school and state requirements
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations for service delivery
- Serve as a positive resource within the school community
