Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Georgia occupational therapy license required
- Previous experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings strongly preferred
- Versatility across PreK to high school age groups
- Proficient in adapting interventions to align with educational goals and IEPs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Capable of working collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups, following IEPs and best practices
- Assess students’ functional, sensory, and motor skills to develop personalized therapy plans
- Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary colleagues to support classroom accommodations
- Document progress, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Advocate for assistive technologies and strategies that maximize student engagement and independence
- Support transitions between grade levels and facilitate generalization of skills across settings
