School Occupational Therapist - Atlanta, Georgia

Key Qualifications:

• Current, valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC certification (both required)
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
• Background working with students with disabilities is preferred
• Ability to provide services onsite only
• Must have or obtain required clearance documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions 30 minutes per week per student, as specified in their IEPs (preferred start time is 2:30 PM)
• Implement targeted strategies to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and everyday functional skills within the school environment
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to develop accommodations, modifications, and in-class strategies
• Track student progress meticulously and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and regulatory standards
• Communicate regularly with the school team and participate in meetings concerning student needs and outcomes
