Apply NowSupport student growth and development as a dedicated school-based occupational therapist serving elementary, middle, and high school populations. This full-time contract position is located near Aurora, CO, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. As an integral part of the school team, you will help students overcome barriers to learning by providing therapeutic interventions and collaborating with educators and families.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification required
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapy (OT) license, in good standing
- Experience working with students in elementary, middle, and high school settings is preferred
- Ability to adapt techniques for a range of ages and abilities
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative approach, working effectively with staff, students, and families
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to determine students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Providing direct and consultative OT services tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Developing and implementing treatment plans to support student participation in school activities
- Maintaining clear, timely documentation and progress reports
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing OT expertise to student planning teams
- Offering guidance and resources to educational staff and student families
- Adhering to established school policies and professional standards
