Licensed Elementary School Occupational Therapist - Aurora, Colorado

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active Colorado Department of Education certification
• Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license
• Experience with elementary, middle, and high school student populations
• Familiarity with school-based OT protocols, documentation, and IEP processes
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff and families
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt interventions to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ needs and strengths
• Develop, implement, and review individualized therapy plans and goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services within classroom and therapy settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student participation and progress
• Monitor and document student outcomes, providing regular progress updates
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
• Promote self-advocacy, functional independence, and participation in school activities
