Occupational Therapist School Setting - Aurora, IL

Step into a dynamic role supporting students across a diverse school district in the Elgin area as an Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity offers meaningful impact through direct, on-site interventions, serving children and young adults from Pre-K through age 22. You'll work as an itinerant provider, traveling between multiple elementary, middle, and high school locations, giving you variety in your daily routine and exposure to a broad spectrum of student needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active Illinois state licensure
• Previous experience in school settings or with pediatrics is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must complete required fingerprinting prior to start
• Comfortable working with diverse student populations across multiple sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy assessments and direct services to children and youth (ages Pre-K to 22) in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
• Collaborate with special education teams and classroom teachers to support student participation and success in the school environment
• Travel between several assigned schools within the district
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding student progress
