This full-time, contract position begins August 27, 2026, and runs through June 9, 2027. As an itinerant therapist, you’ll support learners across several school sites, encompassing elementary, middle, and high schools. Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Active clinical license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Valid Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) educator license
  • Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices and best outcomes for students with a wide range of disabilities
  • Ability to manage an itinerant schedule and adapt quickly to varied school environments
  • Must complete required fingerprinting and credentialing steps before starting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students with individualized needs across multiple sites
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with district policies and state regulations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents to support student goals
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, evaluation processes, and ongoing communication to promote student success
  • Provide consultative recommendations to staff and develop intervention strategies in the educational setting
