Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid license to practice Occupational Therapy
- Experience working within school settings, particularly servicing K-12 students
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration with educational teams
- Creative approaches to promoting student participation, sensory integration, and classroom engagement
- Strong communication skills to work with students, parents, and educators
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services and interventions tailored to students’ individual needs
- Develop, implement, and document progress towards student treatment goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create positive learning environments
- Provide consultative strategies and in-service training to classroom staff on integrating OT supports
- Support transitions and adaptations to classroom activities for students with varying abilities
