Occupational Therapist School Setting in Aurora, IL

This contract Occupational Therapy position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 24, 2027, engaging you with a diverse K-12th grade student population. You can expect a steady schedule of 35 hours per week, allowing you to immerse yourself in the school community and truly make a difference.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a valid license to practice Occupational Therapy
• Experience working within school settings, particularly servicing K-12 students
• Solid understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration with educational teams
• Creative approaches to promoting student participation, sensory integration, and classroom engagement
• Strong communication skills to work with students, parents, and educators

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services and interventions tailored to students’ individual needs
• Develop, implement, and document progress towards student treatment goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create positive learning environments
• Provide consultative strategies and in-service training to classroom staff on integrating OT supports
• Support transitions and adaptations to classroom activities for students with varying abilities
