This full-time, onsite contract role offers a dynamic opportunity in the Aurora, IL area, working with students during a period of FMLA coverage. Your week will be balanced at 37.5 hours, from early September through early January, allowing you to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Valid OT license for Illinois
- Experience or strong interest in providing OT services in school settings
- Comfortable serving both elementary and high school student populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to students, targeting academic and life skills development
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and interpret evaluation results
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and support staff
- Monitor student progress and provide clear documentation
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional input to team decisions
- Engage with students, families, and staff to optimize outcomes and ensure compliance with school protocols
