Your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will contribute to a collaborative school environment, where your skills and passion directly influence student well-being and success. The contract spans from August 10, 2026, through May 24, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Illinois state OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Previous experience working with pediatric and/or school-based populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, goal development, and progress monitoring
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student groups across K-12th grades
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across K-12th grade
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal-setting, and document student progress
- Adapt strategies and interventions to meet the unique needs of each student
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and legal standards
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging school environment
