Occupational Therapist School Setting in Avon, MS

This position focuses on working with a caseload of approximately 32-33 students, providing dedicated therapy services primarily once per week, with a few students seen twice weekly. Requirements & Desired Experience

• Valid Occupational Therapist license and eligibility to practice in the state
• Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and best virtual therapy practices
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff
• Proficient with documentation, IEP planning, and progress monitoring
• Motivated, organized, and adaptable to changing needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services tailored to the individual goals of each student
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and parents
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
• Utilize both in-person and teletherapy modalities as needed
• Monitor and report on students’ progress and adjust interventions accordingly
• Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork to foster student growth
