This contract role is ideal for dedicated Occupational Therapists seeking a rewarding experience during the 2026–2027 academic year. You’ll work 35-40 hours per week, collaborating closely with educators and families to foster student growth and independence. Your expertise will directly impact the classroom experience, enabling students to participate more fully in their school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current OT license required
  • CPR certification required
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric OT preferred
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing processes is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt approach based on diverse student needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address the occupational therapy needs of a varied student caseload, primarily elementary-aged
  • Develop and implement engaging, individualized treatment plans
  • Document services and progress notes according to school and Medicaid requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Provide consultation and training for educational staff as needed
  • Maintain detailed records to support therapy services and Medicaid billing
