Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Illinois
- Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within school settings
- Familiarity with school-based therapy best practices and IEP processes
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for multidisciplinary teamwork
- Ability to manage and adapt to diverse caseloads (specific assignments will be determined prior to start)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop effective strategies for student success
- Assess student needs, document progress, and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional insights for student development
