Key Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Maine
  • Recent experience working as an OT in an educational setting, with a solid understanding of IEP-driven services
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Skilled in documentation and progress tracking
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Organizational skills to balance direct therapy sessions with related paperwork
  • Must hold or obtain appropriate certification for Maine school-based practice

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services onsite one day per week in a school setting, blending direct care (approximately 4 hours) and indirect tasks
  • Support approximately 11 students, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs and IEP goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and partner with educators to facilitate student success in inclusive classroom environments
  • Maintain timely, comprehensive documentation and compliance for all services rendered
  • Engage in ongoing communication with faculty, staff, and families to support student progress and school initiatives
