Qualifications & Experience:
- Active, valid Michigan Occupational Therapy license (require copy for verification)
- Previous experience in school-based OT settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention strategies, and IEP development for diverse student populations
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities with staff, families, and students of varying needs
- Adaptability to work across multiple campuses as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in alignment with individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and document progress for students utilizing occupational therapy
- Collaborate closely with educational teams to create accessible environments and support academic achievement
- Guide teachers and caregivers in best practices for supporting student development and classroom participation
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere to maximize student potential
