This full-time contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 academic year, covering a maternity leave from early November through mid-February. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active, valid Michigan Occupational Therapy license (require copy for verification)
  • Previous experience in school-based OT settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention strategies, and IEP development for diverse student populations
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities with staff, families, and students of varying needs
  • Adaptability to work across multiple campuses as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in alignment with individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, develop goals, and document progress for students utilizing occupational therapy
  • Collaborate closely with educational teams to create accessible environments and support academic achievement
  • Guide teachers and caregivers in best practices for supporting student development and classroom participation
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere to maximize student potential
