Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid state OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • NBCOT certification preferred
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, especially in a public education setting
  • Strong understanding of the IEP process and the ability to develop goal-oriented plans
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Proficient in assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for children with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' abilities and needs for educationally-relevant occupational therapy
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans, aligned with IEPs and 504 plans
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and related service providers
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services, both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Document sessions, progress, and updates per district procedures
  • Offer in-service training and support to educational staff regarding strategies for student success
  • Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students
