Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- NBCOT certification preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, especially in a public education setting
- Strong understanding of the IEP process and the ability to develop goal-oriented plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
- Proficient in assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for children with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' abilities and needs for educationally-relevant occupational therapy
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans, aligned with IEPs and 504 plans
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and related service providers
- Provide direct and consultative OT services, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Document sessions, progress, and updates per district procedures
- Offer in-service training and support to educational staff regarding strategies for student success
- Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students
